WANGARI MAATHAI

Wangari Muta Mary Jo Maathai was born the 1st of April on 1940 in Nyeri District and she died the 25th of September in Nairobi on 2011. She was a Kenyan environmental and political activist.

She was educated in the University of Nairobi in Kenya. In the 1970s, Maathai founded the Green Belt Movement, an environmental non-governmental organization focused on the planting of trees, environmental conservation, and women's rights.

In 2004, she became the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for "her contribution to sustainable development, democracy and peace". She had received a call from Ole Danbolt Mjos, chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, on October the 8th, informing her of the news. She became the first African woman, and the first environmentalist, to win the prize.

Maathai was selected member of Parliament and she worked as the minister for Environment and Natural Resources, and in 2011, Maathai died of complications from ovarian cancer.

I have decided to write for this women because I was with her in the movements that she done to want the peace and the democracy. I'm very happy with her, because I have entered that she was the first African women that won this title, and this is a very important event for women.

MY TIMETABLE!!!

Hello, to continue with my posts, here I show you my school timetable. Click here to see it, and know what we do on school. If you look it, you would know that we have two strong days, Tuesday and Thursday, and you are going to enter that Wednesday is a very good and quiet day, and moreover, we have free-time in the afternoon. On fridays we have free-time in the afternoon too, and on mondays we have to access to school at nine o'clock, whereas on the other days we have to stay on our chairs at eight o'clock.

A beautiful love, a big discrimination

Hello, now I will show you how we have done a team-work in a document of Gmail. We have done a love story of 8 paragraphs divided in 8 groups. Each group, had to write one paragraph and the other groups had to continue with the story. Then, I have done my own work and here you have the result. Click here to see our workthe team-work.

Once upon a time, in a town on the North of Germany called Hoffenheim, there were two boys called Bernard and George. They were in love with each other, but in that era, they weren’t accepted, because people did not accept gay marriages in some countries, and less in European ones. George was a tall and big boy, and George was short and thin. Both of them wanted to marry each other, but their country did not accept it, so they decided to go to another country until they found a country where they would be accepted.


Bernard and George started looking for information about the countries that didn’t punish the homosexual couples. Their hard work gave them a successful result; they found an unknown island in the middle of the Indian ocean called Nobi, that permitted the weddings of homosexual couples. Immediately, they reserved two seats in the first flight with the capital of Nobi as destination.

In Nobi, Bernard and George bought a flat, in the middle of the town, and it was near the sports centre. One day, when they went to the sport scentre, George saw a very attractive boy and he fell in love with him. The name of the man was Doraemon, a very strong man that had a magical pocket. George was all the time looking at him, and when Bernard saw that George was looking at that man he started to get angry.

 
When they arrived home, they started discussing and arguing, but the argument did not resolve, so Bernard said that he wanted to split up. Bernard went back home, but George went to the sports center the next day and he started by knowing each other. After one month, George went to live with Doraemon. He lived in a mansion because he was an architect and he was very famous in Nobi.


But George was unfaithful, so, he thought that he had to seduce Bernard, and he went to him and he introduced himself. But, Bernard didn’t like George and he got very sad. Suddenly, Bernard repent and he thought that all the people should have a second opportunity and he gave him one. But now George said that he was very hurt and said him no.


George went to his house and he started watching the TV. He was watching a love movie; the protagonist was one boy that cuckold to other boy but at the end of the film the boy that cuckold the other decided to give an another opportunity. George was very sad and he decided to phoned Bernard to give an another opportunity. Bernard accepted and they met in a coffee shop.

The next day, in the coffee shop, Bernard was waiting for George, but he didn’t come. Bernard was very worried and he decided to phone Doraemon but he didn’t take the phone. As he was lonely he decided to go to the sports center, and suddenly he saw Doraemon and George kissing each other while they were having a bath. Bernard got angry and he decided to kill both of them.


He went home to prepare the killing, he thought that the best option was to poison George and Doraemon. He invited them to have dinner and he put poison in the entire chicken. George and Doraemon arrived home and sat in the chairs. Bernard serve the chicken in plates and all of them eat the chicken, when they finished, Bernard tell to George:
-Sorry
-Sorry, why?
Four days later, when the police went to Bernard’s home he saw the three boys died in the floor.

MUSIC, MY LIFE!!!

Hello to everybody, now I'm going to speak to you about music. I like music so much, and I'm a musician like other people too. Music, is the best art I have never seen, and I suggest to people to start playing an instrument, because it will help you so much to understand when you are listening to music, and you are going to learn a lot looking to the future. I decided to talk about this topic because is the only one that most excited me, and on the other hand, and like I have said before, because I'm a musician, and I love music.

The best type of music that nowadays people play and listen to is the "ska", but I like so much the "reggae" too, because Bob Marley was the best musiccian I have seen in all the world. Bob Marley, Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley,(6 February 1945 – 11 May 1981) was a Jamaican singer-songwriter and musician. He was the lead singer for the ska and reggae band Bob Marley & The Wailers (1963–1981). He is credited with helping spread both Jamaican music and the Rastafari movement to a worldwide audience. He had problems with drugs, especially the cannabis, that more years later, caused this fantastic singer's death.




His best hits were "No Woman, No Cry", "Could You Be Loved", "Stir It Up",  "One Love" and, together with The Wailers, "Three Little Birds". The compilation album Legend (1984), released three years after his death, is reggae's best-selling album, going ten times Platinum (Diamond) in the U.S., and selling 25 million copies in the world.

This has been my second article; where I speak about my favourite art, the music; and where I give you some information about a great musician (Bob Marley). Social addiction!!!

Now I'm going to advise you how to use the social websites that are getting a very big importance in young people's life. Social websites like tuenti or facebook, make teenagers people addicted to use them and these people spend a big part of the day near the computer.

This can be bad, but it has some advantages of it's use; for example, you can videochat with family members of friends that live far away, if you have to say a thing for many people, you can make an event or share a photograph and then comment them, and, you can speak with the friends of tuenti whenever you want.

But apart from the advantages, you can see there some disadvantages that get this use of social webs more addicting. For example, people can do you online bullying, known as cyberbullying, or you can be very famous, and this can be bad if you have a very big fame. Another example of the disadvantages is that people can use these social websites to tease you. These disadvantages are very bad, and I advise you to be very careful and not to do anything like this, because then, you can get very addicting, and this can get you sad  with different consequences.

This is the conclusion that I take of these social websites. I say you that I'm one of these people that spend more than 3 hours in the computer per day, and I suggest to people for more than 14 years to get an account in these websites, because the responsibility with less than 14 years is very small.

Hello I'm Iosu Artutxa, a student from ICT's subject from Laskorain ikastola of Tolosa, Guipuzcoa. I hope you will like and be happy when you entrance in my blog!!! I'm 15 years old and my birthday is on march the 28th. I have two sisters older than me ( 20 and 22 years) and I don't like any animal to get at home. I'm very interested on sports, specially on football; my favorite team is Real Sociedad, and my favorite football player Wayne Rooney, striker of Manchester United.
